Move Card Turn Example

Alex's Turn - Using Move Cards

Alex's Hand: "Burpee" Move Card (โ–ฒโ–ฒโ–ฒโ–ฒโ–ฒโ–ฒโ–ฒ), "Mountain Climber" Move Card (โ–ฒโ–ฒโ–ฒโ–ฒ), Battle Card #002

Alex's Strategy: Needs exactly 5 reps to power Battle Card attack

Alex's Action:

  • Plays "Mountain Climber" Move Card instant
  • Scans QR code to see proper form
  • Declares: "I'll do 4 reps" (could do 1-4 based on triangles)
  • Performs 4 mountain climbers
  • Earns 4 Stored Reps (Round 1, so 1x multiplier)
  • Still needs 1 more rep for attack...

Quick Follow-up:

  • Plays "Burpee" Move Card
  • Declares: "I'll do 1 rep" (minimum, even though card has 7 triangles)
  • Performs 1 burpee
  • Earns 1 more rep (total: 5 stored reps)
  • Now can afford Battle Card attack that costs 5 reps!
Alex's Strategy: Used efficient rep management - did only what was needed rather than maximum reps, saving energy for more card plays.

Complete Gameplay Walkthrough

Full Game Example with Graveyard Strategy

Players: Alex vs Sam
Mode: Health Victory (first to 0 health loses)
Starting Stats: Both players at 20 Health, 0 Stored Reps, 0 Rep Debt

Round 1 - Turn 1: Alex

Alex's Hand: Train Card #218 (Eagle), Battle Card #002 (Skeleton Warrior), Build Card #263 (Bearded Trainer), plus 2 other cards

Alex's Action: Plays Train Card #218 instant

  • Enters "218" at bumfit.com
  • Gets workout sequence "bht" (backband + shoulder + tricep = 3 moves)
  • Does 1 rep each: resistance band row, shoulder press, tricep dip
  • Earns 3 Stored Reps
  • Places Battle Card #002 and Build Card #263 face-down in column
Alex's Stats: Health: 20, Stored Reps: 3, Rep Debt: 0

Round 1 - Turn 1: Sam

Sam's Action: "I reveal 2 cards!"

  • Chooses to flip Build Card #263 first, then Battle Card #002
  • Reacting to Build Card #263: Forced to use the Bearded Trainer
  • Enters "263" at bumfit.com, gets "zqf" (oblique + quad + forearm = 3 moves)
  • Does 1 rep each: Russian twist, bodyweight squat, wrist curl
  • Pays 3 reps to the Build attack
  • Net gain: 0 reps (earned 3, spent 3)

Sam continues reaction to Battle Card #002:

  • Skeleton Warrior stats: 2 Defend, 1 Cost | 10 Attack, 5 Cost (Health: 18)
  • Sam chooses to defend: pays 1 rep cost, blocks the incoming attack
  • Rep debt: -1 (goes on TAB since Sam has 0 stored reps)
Sam's Stats: Health: 20, Stored Reps: 0, Rep Debt: 1

Round 2 - Turn 3: Alex

Rep Multiplier: All workouts now worth 2 reps per move

Alex's Action: "I reveal 1 card!"

  • Sam's Battle Card revealed: 3 Attack, 2 Cost | 7 Defend, 4 Cost (Health: 16)
  • Alex chooses to attack back with stored reps
  • Plays own Battle Card: Skeleton Warrior (#002)
  • Uses Attack: 10 damage for 5 rep cost
  • Alex pays 5 stored reps, deals 10 damage to Sam's card
  • Sam's card destroyed (10 damage > 16 health), goes to Graveyard
  • Sam loses 1 Health
Current Stats:
Alex: Health 20, Stored Reps: 1, Rep Debt: 0
Sam: Health 19, Stored Reps: 2, Rep Debt: 0

๐ŸŽญ Round 3 - The Graveyard Revenge!

Turn 5: Sam's Strategic Comeback

Sam's Action: Draws from Graveyard during draw phase

  • Sam draws the destroyed Skeleton Warrior (#002) from Graveyard
  • "Time for revenge with your own card, Alex!"
  • Plays the Skeleton Warrior back against Alex

Round 3 Battle Card Flexibility:

  • Original stats: 2 Defend, 1 Cost | 10 Attack, 5 Cost
  • Round 3 Rule: Any of the 4 corner numbers (2, 1, 10, 5) can be used for any purpose

Sam's Tactical Strike:

  • Uses "10" as Attack damage (unchanged)
  • Uses "1" as Attack cost (instead of original 5!)
  • Pays only 1 rep to deal 10 damage
  • Destroys Alex's Battle Card with minimal cost
  • Alex loses 1 Health
Revenge Complete!
Alex: Health 19, Stored Reps: 1
Sam: Health 19, Stored Reps: 1
The tables have turned using Alex's own card against him!

๐Ÿง  Strategic Lesson: Sam turned the tide by:

  • Using the Graveyard to reclaim a powerful card
  • Exploiting Round 3 flexibility to make attacks much cheaper
  • Getting psychological revenge using Alex's own Skeleton Warrior
  • Demonstrating that strong cards in the Graveyard are dangerous for both players
